Congratulations to Jean O'Neill!  Her research published this year on womens' transitions from custody in Northern Ireland was the runner up for the Research Award at the Confederation of European Probation conference on 'Alternatives to Detention' that is currently taking place in Bucharest.  CEP Chair, Sue Hall acknowledged her work saying that, "Jean's research has made a real difference to practice".  The awards panel were very impressed by Jean's work and we think it's a fitting recognition of Jean's determination and hard work.  Griffins Director Chris Leeson tweeted, 'It's an important contribution to research and a well deserved reward'
