Questionnaire on Volunteering and Female Ex-offenders

Clare Taylor, Griffins Fellow 2007/08, is undertaking research into the volunteering experiences and needs of female ex-offenders - please support her research (and have the chance of winning £50!) by taking just 10 minutes to fill out her questionnaire.
My name is Clare Taylor and in September 2007 I started a Griffins Society Research Fellowship at the London School of Economics, which runs until September 2008. The Griffins Society is a voluntary organisation working to improve services for female offenders. At the end of the year the research will be published and I will get the opportunity to promote it at various events and put forward recommendations for future policy changes. I also work full time for the charity Women in Prison, as an employment advisor for women who have been to prison, and so have a keen interest in the well being of women prisoners and ex offenders in general.
The aim of the research is to outline the benefits of volunteering for female ex offenders as well as explore the barriers they face in accessing voluntary work. As part of the research, I would like find out what is going on around the country in different volunteer centres and other organisations and so have put together a questionnaire which I'd really appreciate being filled in and sent back to me if at all possible.
All the information you give me will be treated confidentially; no individual centres or people will be named, unless you would like to be named for a project and/or the work you are doing is innovative and you would like me to highlight this. If you work in a centre which is not currently working with ex-offenders, I would still like you to complete the questionnaire as your input and views will be extremely valuable. We need to explore what is not happening as well as what is in order to provide a better service.
